I’m running for Boston City Council in District 7 because I’ve spent my life fighting for our communities—and I’m not done yet.

I was raised on Seaver Street in Dorchester by a family deeply rooted in the civil rights movement—a legacy that instilled in me a lifelong commitment to justice and service. That calling led me to become a lawyer, and later to serve for more than two decades at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, where I championed civil rights protections, expanded access to affordable housing, and secured vital investments in our neighborhoods.​

 

At every step—whether I was securing millions in redevelopment funds for Boston’s public housing, launching mentorship programs for young people of color, or serving my community as a pastor—I’ve led with one belief: that everyone deserves safety, dignity, and opportunity.

This campaign isn’t just about policy. It’s about people. I’m running to bring experienced, compassionate leadership to City Hall—because I know what this community is capable of when we have someone fighting for us every day.
